2017 Share Scheme closes very soon, 23:59 hours on Tuesday 14th November!

Dear Employee Shareholders, and those interested in becoming Employee Shareholders,

All eligible Thales UK employees should by now have received an email from Computershare Plan Managers inviting them to take part in SharingThales 2017, this year's Employee Share Offer. If you have not received an email and believe that you should have, please contact Michele Cook, Lucinda Nicholas or Mike Seabrook at Thales UK HQ. Their email addresses/phone numbers can be found in the Thales online directory on the Company Intranet.

Thales share ownership might be right for you. Share ownership is part of the Company's desire to share the rewards of its performance with the people who have contributed to creating it. Eligible employees now have the opportunity, until 23:59 hours on Tuesday 14th of November, to invest in Thales shares at preferential conditions through a Share Incentive Plan (SIP) - don’t leave it to the last minute, or even the last hour.

The highlights of the SIP are:-

  • INVESTMENT CEILING same as 2015 SIP offer: 10% of salary or £1,800 whichever is the lower.
  • FREE MATCHING SHARES: you will receive 1 Matching Share for every 3 shares purchased.
  • EASY PAYMENT TERMS: you pay for your shares through 4 equal payroll deductions from December 2017 to March 2018.
  • TAX EFFICIENCY: you pay no income tax or National Insurance contributions (NICs) on buying the shares and no further UK tax or NICs provided they are held in the Plan for five years.

To find out more about the offer and how to apply please refer to the special Sharing Thales and ComputerShare websites as stated in the Computershare Plan Managers email which you should have received on Monday 23rd October 2017.

If you have any questions please contact TUES using the email address info@tues.org.uk

Becoming an Employee Shareholder through the 2017 scheme should give participants a sense of ownership of the Company they work for, an enhanced purpose and direction within the Company, and the opportunity to share in the Company's performance over the years to come.  Investing in Thales will continue to be a personal decision, a free decision, a responsible decision.

Please note that the choice you make is a matter for you alone TUES is not able to personally advise you on the merits or otherwise of deciding to participate in the Plan nor on any financial or tax aspects.  When considering what action you should take, you are recommended to seek your own independent financial advice from your own stockbroker, bank manager, solicitor, accountant or other independent financial adviser authorised under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
